To meet climate goals and accelerate the energy transition, companies must play an increasing role in reducing their carbon emissions and energy consumption. At Impuls Zeeland, we support entrepreneurs in this challenge. With the energy saving and CO₂ reduction voucher, we encourage companies to make sustainable investments that not only save costs, but also contribute to a future-proof economy and a healthier living environment. By jointly investing in energy efficiency and CO₂ reduction, we work towards a more sustainable Zeeland and strengthen the competitive position of businesses in the region.
Who is this scheme for?
The voucher is available for companies that need to comply with the energy saving obligation, with an annual consumption of:
- More than 25,000 m³ of gas and/or
- More than 50,000 kWh of electricity
What can you finance with the voucher?
The funding is for investments in:
- Energy efficiency: measures that reduce your company's energy consumption.
- CO₂ reduction: investments that contribute to reducing the CO₂ emissions of your company
How much can you receive?
The amount of funding depends on the savings your investment generates:

Individual | Up to €20,000 | €5,000 per 10 tonnes of CO₂ reduction per year (max. 40 tonnes savings) |
Collective | Up to €20,000 | At least 3 companies with a joint saving of 40 tonnes of CO₂ per year |
Funding is up to 50% of the total investment. Own hours are not eligible.
Conditions
- The investment must have a payback period of at least 5 years.
- The measure must not be on the EML list.
- There is a pre-calculated CO₂ saving, tested by an independent expert.
- The measure must be implemented within six months of the voucher being granted.
Applications and procedure
- Submit your application to Tim van der Knaap. Include a project description, investment plan and calculation of CO₂ savings.
- Assessment within six weeks. In some cases, a company visit is scheduled.
- Implementation of the project within six months of award.
- Completion and justification: within three months after implementation, you submit a final report, including financial substantiation. After approval, the voucher is paid out.
