“We looked for locations in Rotterdam, Germany, and here across the border in Ghent. Bus Sas van Gent was much more interesting.”
Rob Cogghe, Site director of Enough in Sas van Gent: “we’re looking for a symbiosis and integration at another company, so we can get the fermentable sugars here in a very sustainable way. We looked for locations in Rotterdam, Germany, and here across the border in Ghent. Bus Sas van Gent was much more interesting. Cargill is located nearby and they’re going to supply us with those fermentable sugars. They also give us the opportunity to use some of their systems to guarantee our zero waste. And we also have the ability to expand by up to 60.000 tons. We’re also close to North Sea Port, as well as Zeebrugge. That means it’s going to be very easy to distribute the products we’re going to produce here across Europe.”
“Impuls Zeeland had meant a lot to Enough”
“They’ve supported us enormously in setting up the company, but during the permit procedure too, they’ve helped is enormously to get the permits ready within the set deadlines. And we’re very grateful to Impuls Zeeland for that.”
